HDUE Holdown

The HDUE is a next-gen holdown built for today’s demanding wood-framed structures — including taller residential builds with limited shearwall space. With higher load ratings than its predecessor (the HDU), it offers a straightforward one-to-one replacement and delivers excellent performance in shearwall, braced panel, and lateral-force applications.

Designed with a predeflected seat to reduce movement under load, the HDUE features an overlapping back plate for added strength and optimized screw patterns to minimize splitting. Larger models use angled fasteners for enhanced tension capacity while reducing screw count. Installs easily with Strong‑Drive® SDS Heavy‑Duty Connector screws.

Available in multiple sizes to suit a range of load demands.
