Rigging Device & Temporary Anchor Point

The Rothoblaas RAPTOR temporary installation anchor is rated for a maximum load capacity of 25 kN (kilonewtons), which is equivalent to approximately 2,500 kg (about 5,500 lbs) in static load terms — when installed correctly and depending on substrate conditions.

Key specs for the RAPTOR:

• Temporary anchor point for fall protection during installation of mass timber panels (CLT, glulam, LVL, etc.)

• Rated for 1 person fall arrest system

• Conforms to EN 795 Type B and CEN/TS 16415 (multi-user standard depending on configuration — though the RAPTOR itself is typically used for single-user fall protection)

• Load capacity: 25 kN

It is NOT a lifting anchor for hoisting panels — it is a fall protection anchor to clip into when working on panels that are already placed.

RAPTOR can be configured in 3 modes making it suitable for the most common applications on the construction site:

• 6 screws, to obtain high strength and capacity;
• 4 or 2 screws: for lifting and transporting lighter panels.

The screws must be applied symmetrically.

RAPTOR is suitable for many different handling contexts. The lifting hook can be used for both axial and lateral loads.

The plate is certified according to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and lifts weights exceeding 3 tons.
